PCJ Fri Aug 22:Michael Franti Cancels Wilmington Shows Amid Allegations
Michael Franti and Spearhead have canceled their upcoming Wilmington shows following serious allegations.

Victoria and Franti @ Greenfield Lake Amplitheater
Michael Franti has officially canceled the remainder of his Welcome to the Family Tour, including the Wilmington shows slated for September 11 and 12. The decision comes amid serious sexual grooming allegations from former touring musician Victoria Canal, prompting disappointment and concern across the music community. Franti acknowledges a consensual affair but denies misconduct, attributing it to a power imbalance. The fallout has also led to the cancellation of the Soulshine at Sea cruise and a severed relationship with his management team.

Disappointed to hear this news. One of the first concerts we took our kids to was Michael Franti at Greenfield Lake— a great artist and perfect venue. It’s upsetting to learn that he may have taken advantage of Victoria and possibly others. What’s most disappointing is how starkly this contrasts with the pure, family-oriented image his brand has always projected. -Jason | ![]() |
