PCJ Mon Sept 29: Mourning with Southport | Local News & Music Ahead
As we hold Southport in our hearts, Wilmington continues to come together through music and community.
Let’s pause today to acknowledge the tragic shooting in Southport at the American Fish Company. This one hits far too close to home—for me, and for many of you—as bands I highlight in Port City Jams have played on that very stage. Please join me in keeping Southport, the families who lost loved ones, and the staff who endured this horrific night in your thoughts and prayers.

The American Fish Company will remain closed indefinitely—a tough blow for its staff and owners on top of so much pain. Let’s rally behind Southport, honor the lives lost, and continue to cherish our own communities. -Jason | ![]() |
