It’s April Fool’s Day—but we won’t get fooled again.

Music season is officially here in Wilmington, and outdoor venues are rolling out their full spring lineups. The Sunset Live Music Series 2026 Kickoff at the Marina District gets things started this Friday.

The series kicks off with Jet 22 Refueled, bringing high-energy rock, blues, and coastal vibes to the waterfront at The Boatyard. It’s free, dog-friendly, and about as Wilmington as it gets—live music, sunset views, and a crowd ready for spring.

We’re kicking off the Sunset Live Music Series for 2026 with an unforgettable night of live music on the waterfront! Join us at The Boatyard in the Marina District for an evening filled with incredible tunes, coastal vibes, and a picture-perfect sunset.

🎸 About the Band:

Jet 22 made its mark in the early 2000s with a high-energy mix of modern rock infused with classic, southern, and funk influences, releasing two original CDs and opening for acts like Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Blue Öyster Cult. Reformed in 2022 as Jet 22 Refueled, the band honors late guitarist Walt Metts while welcoming Brook Ashman (formerly with Boyz II Men and The Clovers). Today, they deliver a dynamic blend of rock, country, blues, and current hits with a lineup featuring Rob McGee, Marion Eason, Dave Smith, Brook Ashman, and David Peterson.
